THREADLIFT AND NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY

SILHOUETTE SOFT® AND HI-KO

The best procedure for patients who do not want to have surgery and don’t like the idea of any permanent substance being left on their faces. Always safe and subtle.

SILHOUETTE SOFT®

A technological innovation offering women and men what no treatment has ever provided in such a simple and minimally invasive way: a reshaped face and restored volume by means of a 30-minute treatment at their doctor’s.

Silhouette Soft® was developed after six years of research in permanent suspension sutures with cones used in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Three years after its launch in 2013, more than 130,000 treatments have been performed in over 60 countries, where it met with great success.

How it works – The Silhouette Soft® double action

1. Lifting action – For an immediate and discreet effect

2. Regenerative action – For gradual and natural looking results, Silhouette Soft® promotes the restoration of lost collagen

The lifting effect is immediate and discreet as it is the result of compressing the tissue and elevating the skin at the time of implanting the suture. After inserting the suture, the doctor applies slight pressure on the treated area. In this way, the doctor reshapes the surface of the skin and makes it visibly smoother.

The regenerating effect is gradual: Poly L-lactic acid (PLLA), the principal component of Silhouette Soft® is a well-known polymer that has been used for many years in a number of biomedical and pharmaceutical applications: suture thread, orthopedic pins, rods, screws and nails for bone fractures. It is because this polymer is particularly biocompatible with human beings, and also completely biodegradable, that such applications have been developed.

By resorbing, the poly L-lactic acid acts on the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates the body so that it produces its own collagen. This action, which continues over time, helps increase the volume of saggy areas and restores shapeliness to the face.

It is EC approved for the European market under CE 0499 and the manufacturing site complies with the requirements of international standards ISO 13485.

HI-KO

Hi-Ko is transliteration of Korean, which means “high nose”. It employs the use of polydioxane (PDO) threads to create volume and definition in the nose bridge and tip. PDO threads have been used for surgical wound closure for many decades and are safely left in ones body. Your skin will break down the thread material over time.

On the day of the procedure, your doctor will consult you on the shape of nose bridge and tip you desire. The skin is numbed with topical cream and a small entry needle is used to facilitate thread placement. PDO threads are inserted using a sterile cannula and technique into the desired location to achieve the design discussed above.

The doctor performing the Hi-Ko procedure for you has been trained personally by Dr Yang Sung Yu, specialist plastic surgeon from Taiwan.

For 2 weeks after the procedure, avoid activities that will assert pressure on the nose. This is to allow the PDO threads to ‘gel’ with the skin tissue. Other than that, you may resume normal activities – there is no downtime.

Hi-Ko nose threads can last between 6 months to 1 year before their effect starts to diminish.

The GOKEN 24-point Threadlift is a unique customised treatment by our doctors at GOKEN Aesthetics Practice. This threadlift procedure allows patients to experience skin rejuvenation and tightening results in under one hour. This highly-versatile procedure can be used for a wide range of areas including deep lines on neck and forehead, lightening of dark eye circles and saggy areas on cheeks, jowls and neck.

How does it work?

The 24-point Threadlift utilises high quality Korean PDO mono threads to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin tissue. PDO which is also known as Polydioxanone, has been used for decades for suturing procedures and is safe to use for aesthetic enhancements.

What is the difference between the GOKEN 24-point Threadlift vs other threadlift using Silhouette Soft?

Korean PDO mono threads are used for the 24-point threadlift which are great for firming effects as compared to the use of Poly-L-Latic (PLLA) Silhouette Soft Tornado/Cone threads which are used more frequently for volumizing effects. Threads made from PLLA take a longer time to degrade as compared to PDO so facial effects using Silhouette Soft may last longer.

How long does the 24-point Threadlift take? Is the procedure painful?

The whole procedure should take about 30-45mins excluding the time taken for numbing. Patients might experience some discomfort and pressure during the produce but topical numbing cream will be applied to ensure that the treatment will be as comfortable as possible.

Can you see the immediate results from the 24-point threadlift?

Patients will see an immediate difference in the facial tissue and the effects will continue to improve for the next 2 – 3 weeks.
